The eruption is now over, at least for the time being. Maybe it will start again, maybe not.

The room has now been let out on a monthly basis and will not be available for more reservations. See “Availability” on the left for more information.

You can still order traditional wool sweaters for your trip to Iceland. See “Icelandic wool” on the left.

Traditional sweaters

Are you coming to Iceland this summer? Did you know that the Icelandic nights can be quite cold? Would you like to have a traditional woolen sweater waiting for you when you arrive? They are beautiful and warm, and hand made especially for you.

Icelandic courses

Do you want to learn a few words in Icelandic during your stay? You can learn how to say hello, order a coffee, count to ten and a few other things, in one or two lessons.

Mrs. Minerva offers Icelandic lessons for tourists in June and July. Take one or two lessons of one hour each and impress the natives!

Beginners start every Monday and those who want a second class negotiate with the teacher. If Monday does not work for you, please contact us anyway and we will work it out.

Prices:

1 class - 10 euros (1700 krónur)
2 classes - 15 euros (2500 krónur)

Accommodation

Accommodation in a private home available from June 3rd:

One bedroom with a double bed and the possibility of a third bed.
Private bathroom with a shower.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Laundry service.
Pick up from the airport or bus terminal.
Free internet connection. Bring your own laptop or get access to one to check your e-mail etc.
The house is non smoking.
5 minutes walk to the city center.
Two restaurants within 100 meters.

Prices (June 1st - September 1st):

1 person - 50 euros (8.500 krónur).
2 persons - 70 euros (12.000 krónur).
3 persons - 80 euros (13.600 krónur).
Children under 16 stay for free in the company of adults.
Pick up from the airport - 15 euros (2500 krónur).
Free pick up from the bus terminal.

This is a beautiful wooden house from 1920 / 1933, with a soul of its own. It still needs a lot of work, especially on the outside, but it is in the slow process of renovating, room by room.
